Jenny Schäfer takes second place at CVID 2023!

November 8, 2023

Jenny Schäfer, Daniela Sánchez und Giorgio Cattaneo were able to represent the Institute of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Stuttgart at this year's Cardiovascular Implant Durability Conference (CVID) in Monterey (California, USA).

The focus of the conference was on understanding, predicting and optimizing the durability of cardiovascular implants.

In an exciting competition among PhD students and post-docs, our PhD student Jenny Schäfer presented her project on "In vitro modeling of cardiac pulsatility and respiration-induced renal artery motion for investigation on bEVAR", which is based on a research collaboration with Bentley Innomed funded by the #BMWi.  It was a close race with all students doing a great job presenting their work, with Jenny Schäfer taking second place!
We are grateful for the stimulating discussions, the exchange and are already looking forward to CVID 2025!
